| Opis rewersu | Long voided cross with three pellets in each quarter, dividing the field into four sections, a design standard to Scottish pennies of the period. The pellets are clearly struck and evenly distributed within each canton. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters surrounds the design, reading REX SCOTORVM, identifying the issuer as King of Scots. The reverse exhibits the characteristically irregular flan edge and variable strike depth associated with hammered coinage of 13th-century Scotland. |
