Obverse description Facing crowned bust of King Henry VI rendered in the flat, stylised manner characteristic of early fifteenth-century hammered English coinage. The juvenile effigy displays a fleur-de-lis crown with prominent fleurons, hair falling in wavy locks to either side of the face, and a plain, draped neckline. The bust is set within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend running in the outer field between the inner and outer beaded borders.
