Reverse description A long cross pattée divides the reverse into four quarters, each quarter containing a beaded inner arc consistent with the standard English medieval penny design. The upper-left and lower-right quarters each bear three annulets arranged in a triangular formation — the defining diagnostic of the Annulet issue — while the upper-right quarter displays a trefoil of three pellets, and the lower-left quarter bears a further annulet grouping. The mint name legend appears in the outer field, separated into two-letter groups by stops, between the beaded borders.
