A quatrefoil ornament occupies the central intersection of the cross, a distinctive feature of Henry V's Class D coinage. The design is executed in the characteristic hammered style, with the cross arms terminating near the inner beaded circle. The mint legend for York is inscribed in two segments between the beaded circles, in uncial Latin lettering. |
