Reverse description A long cross pattée extending to the coin's beaded border divides the reverse field into four quarters, each containing a trefoil of pellets arranged in a triangular grouping. A quatrefoil ornament occupies the central intersection of the cross, a distinctive feature of Henry V's Class D coinage. The design is executed in the characteristic hammered style, with the cross arms terminating near the inner beaded circle. The mint legend for York is inscribed in two segments between the beaded circles, in uncial Latin lettering.
