Obverse description Facing crowned bust of King Henry III depicted in a stylised, flat medieval manner, with the king holding a sceptre before him in the right field. The facial features are rendered in the ornamental style characteristic of class 6c, with decorative curls arranged three to the left and three to the right of the face. Several letters within the surrounding legend have been rendered ornamentally as part of the class 6c design development. The circular legend is inscribed in uncial Latin script.
