| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing crowned portrait of Henry III in the regal style characteristic of the Long Cross coinage, with the king depicted wearing a diadem-style crown adorned with a band below which a line of pellets is either absent or arranged in a non-standard format, distinguishing class 5i from earlier classes. The king holds a lis-tipped sceptre in his right hand, the effigy rendered in a notably degraded style compared to earlier classes, with the letters ENR typically ligatured within the obverse legend. The peripheral legend is inscribed in uncial Latin characters and reads HENRICVS REX III, identifying the issuer as King Henry the Third. |
