Reverse description The reverse features a bold six-pointed star (hexagram) centrally placed and dominating the field, with the central round hole at its core. The interlaced triangles of the hexagram are rendered in strong relief against a flat field. The legend BRITISH WEST AFRICA curves along the upper periphery, while the date is inscribed in the lower exergue area, flanked by two small raised dots. A finely milled border surrounds the entire reverse design.
