Central design features a bold six-pointed star (hexagram) formed by two interlocking equilateral triangles in outline, centered on the field and surrounding the circular central perforation. The legend BRITISH WEST AFRICA is arranged in a curved arc along the upper periphery, reading from lower left to upper right. The date 1920 appears in the lower field beneath the star, flanked by two raised dots. The rim is bordered by a continuous inner beaded circle. |
