| Description du revers | A tailless Manx cat, the indigenous breed emblematic of the Isle of Man, is depicted in a heraldic three-quarter stance facing left, its body rendered with stylized Celtic decorative motifs. Elaborate scrollwork and interlace ornamental flourishes frame the figure on either side and beneath, integrating the design into a cohesive Celtic artistic composition. The numeral 1 appears at the base within a decorative cartouche formed by the scrollwork. The finely frosted relief of the cat and ornaments contrasts strikingly against the mirror-polished proof field. The design is the work of engraver Leslie Lindsay. |
