Reverse description The reverse presents a plain annular field dominated by large, boldly incised legends arranged around the central circular hole. The territory name FIJI arcs across the upper portion of the field, while the denomination PENNY curves prominently along the lower arc in large, widely spaced capital letters. The date is split either side of the central perforation, with '19' to the left and '36' to the right. The central hole is framed by a distinctive raised collar of fine rectangular dentils. The outer rim echoes the obverse with a matching border of rectangular milled teeth.
