Reverse description The central field displays the Royal Arms of Jamaica — a quartered shield bearing five pineapples arranged on a cross, with vertical line shading indicating tincture — surmounted by a crocodile passant atop a royal helm as the crest, all within a raised beaded inner circle. Two stylised indigenous figures serve as supporters flanking the shield on either side. A scroll below the shield bears the motto INDUS UTERQUE SERVIET UNI. The legend JAMAICA arcs along the upper periphery and ONE PENNY along the lower periphery, separated by small decorative stops, between the beaded circle and the milled rim.
