Obverse description Facing crowned bust of King Edward IV within a beaded inner circle, the crown rendered with three fleurs and a central cross. The king's face is depicted in a crude but characteristically medieval hammered style, with quatrefoils flanking either side of the neck. The surrounding legend is separated from the effigy by a beaded border, with lettering executed in uncial Gothic script.
