Reverse description A voided long cross moline extends to the full coin edge, dividing the reverse into four quarters, each containing three pellets arranged in a triangular formation — the distinctive pellet arrangement of Edward III's hammered pennies. The mint name is inscribed in uncial Latin lettering in the four quadrants of the legend field, reading around the cross in standard medieval fashion between the inner beaded circle and the coin edge.
