| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bold long cross pattée divides the reverse into four quadrants, each containing a trefoil of pellets arranged within a curved inner beaded arc, a design characteristic of the English long-cross penny series. The mint name is distributed in two-letter segments across the four quadrants of the field, reading continuously around the cross. The outer border is formed by a beaded circle, consistent with hammered coinage of the period. The overall design follows the standard reverse type established under Edward I and maintained through the reign of Edward II. |
