| Beschrijving keerzijde | A long cross pattée extends to the coin's edge, dividing the reverse into four quadrants. A quatrefoil ornament occupies the central intersection of the cross, while a trefoil of pellets fills each of the four angles between the cross arms. The mint name is inscribed in Latin uncials within the outer field, reading in segments between the arms of the cross. This reverse design is the standard Sterling type established by the recoinage of 1279 and is consistent across all mints operating under Edward I. |
