| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing crowned bust of King Edward I within a beaded inner circle, rendered in the stylised manner characteristic of the English medieval sterling penny. The king is depicted full-face with a flat crown bearing three fleurs-de-lis, broad facial features, and no visible drapery detail, consistent with the hammered die-work of the period. The effigy is contained within a beaded annulet that separates it from the surrounding circumscription. The legend, in uncial Gothic characters, reads + ЄDW R` ΛNGL` DNS hYB, abbreviating the royal titles of Edward, King of England and Lord of Ireland.
