Issued to mark Charles III's coronation on 6 May 2023, this Jersey proof is struck in 9-carat gold — a fineness more associated with jewelry manufacture than bullion coinage, and a deliberate choice to keep the piece accessible within the commemorative market without committing to the cost of higher-purity gold.
