Reverse description The reverse presents a plain, slightly recessed inner circular field bearing the two-line denomination inscription ONE PENNY in bold raised capital letters. Surrounding this central circle is a wide annular field carrying the legend CROWN COPPER COMPANY disposed around the upper arc, with four small rosette or quatrefoil ornaments punctuating the lower arc at the base, flanked by raised dots. The entire design is enclosed within a continuous dentilated outer border consistent with that of the obverse.
