| Descrizione del rovescio | Long cross pattée dividing the field into four quarters, each containing three pellets, a design standard to the Scottish penny coinage of Alexander III. A six-pointed star appears at the centre of the cross intersection, a diagnostic feature of Class J within the Second Coinage. The reverse is enclosed within a beaded inner circle and an outer beaded border. The circumferential legend, partially legible due to wear, names the moneyer and mint in the customary medieval Scottish formula. |
