| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse presents a central raised medallion encircled by a beaded border, within which a crowned lion passant guardant is depicted in fine relief, resting upon a decorative base. Below the lion, within the inner field, the engraver's attribution reads COARD LONDON. Surrounding the central medallion, a broad annular legend in bold raised lettering reads A. G. HODGSON, OUTFITTER AND TAILOR, 13 LONSDALE STREET WEST, MELBOURNE, with decorative six-pointed star stops separating the legend elements. The outer rim is defined by a continuous beaded border, consistent with the milled token production style of W.J. Taylor's London workshop. |
