Obverse description Stylised architectural representation of a castle or town gate in a primitive, linear engraving style characteristic of early medieval Scandinavian coinage. The structure features a central arched gateway flanked by vertical pillars surmounted by a triangular gabled roof with a globular finial at the apex. The lower portion of the gateway is filled with a diagonal lattice or grid pattern composed of lozenge-shaped openings, evoking the portcullis of a fortified entrance. The design occupies the full flan and is rendered in a flat, schematic manner without inscription or legend.
