Obverse description Central field dominated by a heraldic shield surmounted by a crown, rendered in the crude but expressive style characteristic of medieval Norwegian hammered coinage. The shield displays a stylized lion passant, the traditional royal arms of Norway, set within an irregularly shaped flan. The crown above the shield features a simple crenellated profile with projecting points. The surrounding field is largely plain, with a beaded or pelleted border partially visible along the coin's irregular periphery. No legible legend is present on this side, consistent with the small module penning denomination of the period.
