| Reverse description | A bold short lobate cross occupies the center of the field, its four arms terminating in broad, rounded lobes characteristic of late Viking-Age Danish coinage. At the intersection of the arms, a four-petaled rosette or flower ornament forms a decorative central boss. The quadrants between the cross arms are filled with pointed star or lozenge motifs, lending the design a rich, textured appearance. A beaded border encircles the entire composition. The moneyer's legend * SWAFA ILVNDI, identifying the moneyer Swafa operating at the mint of Lund, runs around the periphery in Latin script. |
