| 表面の説明 | Helmeted bust of the ruler facing front, depicted in a stylized manner characteristic of Viking-Age coinage, enclosed within a linear ring. A legend in uncial Latin characters encircles the central effigy, with a beaded border running along the outermost rim. The inscription references both kings Magnus and Harald, reflecting the joint rule of the period. |

Harald Sigurdsson served as co-ruler under Magnus the Good for less than a year before Magnus died in October 1047, leaving Harald sole king. Coins attributable to this joint reign are exceptionally rare; the political arrangement itself was uneasy — Harald had returned from years commanding the Varangian Guard in Byzantium and essentially forced the co-kingship through military threat. Schive II:17 is among the earliest attributable Norwegian penny types, produced at a moment when Scandinavian coinage was still heavily derivative of Anglo-Saxon and German models.
