Obverse description Crude hammered silver flan displaying a stylized standing figure in the field, rendered in the primitive Viking-age die-cutting tradition characteristic of late 11th-century Norwegian coinage. The design, heavily worn and irregular, appears to depict a frontally oriented figure with outstretched arms, typical of the regal or ecclesiastical motifs employed on Scandinavian pennings of this period. The surrounding legend, partially legible due to the irregular flan and die wear, runs along the coin's periphery in Latin characters. The overall execution reflects the rudimentary engraving techniques employed by Norwegian moneyers during the reign of Harald Hardråde.
