Reverse description A long cross with trefoil or fleur-de-lis ornaments in each of the four quadrants, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The cross divides the field into four segments, each adorned with a stylized floral or trefoil motif, a design closely associated with the Tønsberg mint type. The circumferential legend in uncial Latin characters reads CASTRVM TUNSBERGIS around the beaded border, identifying the issuing fortress-mint at Tønsberg.
