| Reverse description | A bold voided or double-barred cross pattée occupies the central field, inscribed within a beaded inner circle. The four quadrants formed by the cross arms are plain. The outer border is populated with a series of small ornamental devices including pellets, crescents, trefoils, and triangular or wedge-shaped symbols irregularly spaced around the circumference, consistent with the decorative vocabulary of Norwegian pennings of the reign of Olav Kyrre. The overall composition follows the standard reverse type of Skaare 34. |
