| 正面描述 | Stylized effigy of the king in profile facing left, depicted holding a sceptre, rendered in the crude yet expressive Viking-Age hammered style typical of 11th-century Norwegian coinage. The royal bust is set within a beaded inner ring, with an encircling inscription in Latin uncial lettering occupying the outer field. The portrait exhibits the conventional schematic treatment characteristic of Scandinavian pennings of this period, with minimal anatomical detail but clear regal attributes. |

Struck under Harald Hardrada's successor Olaf Kyrre, this penny belongs to a coinage period when Norwegian silver issues were closely modeled on contemporary Anglo-Saxon types — a direct consequence of the extensive cross-North Sea traffic in coin that preceded the Norman Conquest. Olaf's long, stable reign of nearly three decades allowed for unusually consistent output by Scandinavian standards of the period.
The Schive reference places this piece among the rarer die groupings documented in the 19th-century Norwegian numismatic surveys.
