Additional information

Finland's 1 penni was effectively obsolete before this series even ended. Inflation through the 1960s had rendered the denomination nearly worthless in everyday transactions, and by the time decimal rounding practices became widespread, the coin was disappearing from circulation through sheer economic irrelevance rather than any official withdrawal. The 1969 date closes the series without fanfare — production was simply stopped.
