| Obverse description | The Finnish coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a crowned rampant lion passant sinister brandishing a sword in its right forepaw and treading upon a scimitar with its hind legs, all surrounded by nine five-petalled roses evenly distributed across the field. The date is split on either side of the lion, with the first two digits to the left and the last two to the right. The design is rendered in high relief with fine heraldic detail, engraved by Isak Gustaf Sundell. |
