A large crown surmounts the shield, positioned so as not to intersect the surrounding legend. The circumferential Latin legend, separated by pellet stops, runs along the inner border of the coin, identifying Philip by his full Burgundian-Habsburg titulature. The hammered flan is irregular in shape, with a slightly raised rim enclosing the design. |

| 裏面の説明 | A long floriated cross extends to the legend, overlying a quadrilobe whose lobes intersect the marginal inscription, dividing the reverse into four quarters. At the center of the cross is a briquet (fire-steel), the personal badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece and emblem of the Burgundian dukes. A countermark in the form of a castle (designated A30) has been applied to the field, indicating subsequent validation or revaluation of the piece. The date 1499 is incorporated within the Latin circumferential legend. |
