Obverse description At center, the Burgundian cross with a firesteel superimposed at the intersection, from which hangs the jewel of the Order of the Golden Fleece suspended on a chain. The cross is flanked on either side by crowned royal monograms composed of the letters P and V interlaced. A crown surmounts the entire composition. The encircling legend reads in Latin across the full periphery of the field.

Reverse description The crowned royal arms of Spain are displayed centrally, the crown dividing the date 1705 at the top of the field. The shield is encircled by the collar of the Order of the Holy Spirit and that of the Order of the Golden Fleece, with their respective pendant jewels hanging below the escutcheon. The peripheral legend in Latin identifies the ruler's titles as Duke of Burgundy and Count of Flanders.
