The shield is set within a decorative collar of alternating heraldic devices, consistent with the Order of the Golden Fleece cartouche tradition. A beaded inner border separates the central achievement from the peripheral Latin legend · ARCHI · D: AVST · DVCES · BVRG · ET · CO˙ FL, proclaiming Albert and Isabella as Archdukes of Austria, Dukes of Burgundy, and Counts of Flanders.
