Reverse description A stylized interlaced design of two fish rendered in a traditional Chinese decorative art style dominates the central field, their bodies intertwined symmetrically in an ornamental composition evoking good fortune and abundance. The fish are depicted facing each other with tails curling outward at the lower corners, forming an elegant interlocking motif. The Chinese characters 澳門 (Macau) appear in the upper field above the design, while the denomination in Chinese characters 壹圓 is inscribed in the lower field, followed beneath by the Latin legend 1 PATACA along the bottom rim.
