附加信息	The .925 silver version of this issue — KM#23a.1 — exists because Macau produced the 1 Pataca in two parallel compositions that year, the cupronickel circulating type and this silver variant aimed squarely at the collector market. Portuguese Macau was then roughly a decade from the handover negotiations that would formally begin in 1986, and the administration leaned increasingly on numismatic revenue as the territory's political future grew uncertain.
