Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a pair of crossed khukris (the traditional inwardly curved Nepalese blades) surmounted by the Vishnu footprints (Charan Paduka), a sacred symbol of royal authority. A wreath flanks the central device. The surrounding outer legend in Devanagari script reads 'Shree 5 Tribhuvan Veer Vikram Shahdev', denoting the regnal title of King Tribhuvan.
