Above and below the line, Nagari inscriptions in a bold, irregular hand identify the issuer and denomination, consistent with Mewar princely state copper coinage struck at Bhilwara under the nominal suzerainty of Mughal emperor Shah Alam II. The overall design is characteristic of hammered issues from this mint, with rough flan edges and uneven relief. |
