Obverse description Central field occupied by a stylized lion passant in low relief, rendered in the traditional Baroda princely idiom, facing right with tail raised. Surrounding the animal are small circular pellets and decorative devices typical of Gaekwad copper coinage. Nagari legend appears in the field, reading 'श्री स ग' with a regnal numeral indicator '१२५x', denoting the AH dating sequence used during the reign of Sayaji Rao II. The flan is irregular and slightly crude, consistent with hand-struck copper issues of the early nineteenth-century Baroda mint.
