| Reverse description | Central device consists of a trishul (trident), the sacred symbol of Sikhism associated with divine authority, rendered in bold relief within the field. Flanking the trishul are decorative foliate or pellet ornaments typical of Sikh copper coinage of the period. The surrounding legend in Gurmukhi script reads 'Akal Shahi Guru Nanakji', invoking the eternal sovereignty of Guru Nanak, a hallmark inscription of Sikh imperial coinage. The strike is bold but slightly off-center, consistent with hammered production at the Amritsar mint. |
