| Reverse description | Central field displays a downward-pointing banner or pennant device, flanked on either side by clusters of raised pellets arranged in decorative groupings. Gurmukhi legends fill the surrounding field, invoking the name of Guru Nanak under the eternal Akal sovereignty. The design is divided by the vertical banner staff, with foliate and pellet ornaments occupying the quadrants. The flan is irregular, consistent with the hammered manufacture typical of Amritsar mint copper issues of the Ranjit Singh period. |
