| Obverse description | Struck in the name of the Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah, the obverse bears a multi-line Persian legend in bold Nastaliq script disposed across the field within a rectangular cartouche formed by two horizontal lines. The legend records the royal name and regnal year (RY 5), with additional diacritical dot ornaments flanking the central inscription. The broad, irregular flan is characteristic of hammered copper coinage of the Deccan feudatory mints of this period. |
