| Obverse description | Crudely struck Nagari character 'Jo' (the initial syllable of the ruler's name, Jorawar Khan) prominently displayed in the center of the irregular flan. The inscription is rendered in a bold, simplified Nagari script typical of provincial Indian copper coinage of the mid-nineteenth century. The field is plain and unadorned, with no surrounding legend or decorative border, consistent with the rudimentary striking technique employed at the local Radhanpur mint. |

Radhanpur was a small Muslim princely state in what is now northern Gujarat, ruled by the Babi dynasty under British paramountcy. Jorawar Khan's reign was unusually long — nearly five decades — and the paisa issues attributed to his rule span that entire period without meaningful design revision, making precise dating within the type essentially impossible by physical examination alone.
