| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized depiction of a mosque with minarets, enclosed within a circular beaded border, the whole design set within an eight-pointed star formed by radiating pointed rays. A crescent surmounts the design at the top of the coin, above the star. The overall composition is characteristic of Afghan coinage of the Habibullah era, rendered in low relief on a plain field. |
