| Reverse description | The reverse displays two lines of Arabic-script legends in Naskh style set within the central field, reading 'یک پیسه' (one paisa) prominently in the lower register. Above, the mint name legend 'ضرب كابل' (struck in Kabul) is inscribed in a curved arrangement across the upper portion of the field. A decorative floral and foliate wreath or border encircles the inscriptions at the periphery, consistent with Afghan coinage conventions of the Habibullah era. The strike is typical of the hand-finished dies used at the Kabul Mint, resulting in a slightly uneven but bold relief. The plain edge and absence of additional ornament reflect the utilitarian character of this small-denomination circulation issue. |
