Obverse description Central field bears a multi-line Persian nastaliq legend in raised relief, reading the royal titulature of Maharaja Girvan Yuddha Shah Bikram Bahadur, arranged horizontally across the coin face. The inscription is framed above and below by raised linear borders forming a cartouche, with a prominent crescent moon device visible at the top of the field above the upper border. Additional characters appear in the lower exergue below the cartouche. The overall style is characteristic of hammered copper coinage of the Sirmur princely state in the early nineteenth century.
