Reverse description Hammered copper flan of irregular round form bearing a two-line Devanagari inscription in the field, divided by a horizontal line. The upper register reads 'Chhatra' and the lower register reads 'pati', together forming the royal epithet 'Chhatrapati' (Lord of the Umbrella), the supreme title of the Maratha sovereign. The characters are boldly rendered but irregularly distributed across the flan, consistent with hand-struck hammered coinage. The surface exhibits green and brown patination typical of copper issues from the Raigad Fort mint.
