| Obverse description | Hammered copper flan bearing Arabic-script legends arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal line. The upper register contains a regnal year numeral in Eastern Arabic numerals, while the lower register displays the royal epithet or denomination inscription in bold, somewhat crude calligraphic strokes characteristic of hill-state coinage. Small pellets flank the inscription in the lower field, and the entire design is contained within a plain circular border typical of Kumaon Chand Raja issues. |

| Reverse description | Reverse field displays a highly stylised floral or foliate device rendered in a distinctly schematic manner, consisting of large interlocking curvilinear scrolls forming a whorl or rosette pattern, with small pellets or annulets scattered within the field. A horizontal line divides the upper border area, above which a row of small pellets forms an inner border. The overall design is characteristic of the debased decorative vocabulary employed on copper coinage of the Kumaon hill kingdoms during the late eighteenth century. |
