背面描述 Central field displays the Khukuri crossed with a floral garland motif, a device emblematic of Nepalese royal and national symbolism. Below the central emblem, the denomination 'एक पैसा' (One Paisa) and the issuing authority 'नेपाल' (Nepal) are inscribed in two lines in Devanagari script. The central device is encircled by a Devanagari legend invoking the deities Gorakshanath and Bhawani in their triple honorific form. The design is framed by a decorative scalloped border of lotus petals, itself surrounded by a beaded outer border, presenting an elegantly structured and devotional composition.

附加信息

Birendra's coronation in February 1975 — delayed nearly four years after his father Mahendra's death in 1972 — was staged with extraordinary ceremony in Kathmandu, deliberately timed to an auspicious date selected by royal astrologers. Nepal issued a run of commemorative coins across multiple denominations to mark the event, this paisa being the smallest of them. The coronation itself drew heads of state and royalty from across Asia and Europe, an unusual diplomatic moment for a kingdom that had only opened to foreign visitors a generation earlier.
