| Reverse description | The reverse carries a three-line Urdu inscription in Naskh script occupying the entire field of the irregular square flan. The legend reads 'یک پیسہ' (one paisa) in the upper register, 'بہاولپور' (Bahawalpur) in the central register, and the Hijri date '١٣٢٧' (1327 AH, corresponding to 1909 CE) in the lower register. The lettering is boldly engraved and deeply struck, though the uneven flan results in some areas of weak impression at the edges. No border or ornamental device surrounds the inscription. |
